FOKORuns

King Open 2024 Ragnar Fundraising Run graphic with ask to donate

On May 18, ten King Open School parents and staff will participate in the Ragnar Sprint—a full day, 55-mile running relay event. This event is FOKO’s biggest fundraiser every year and we need your help! The team is running to raise funds to make sure our vibrant, strong, and supportive learning community is accessible to everyone by supporting classroom stipends for teachers, student activities like field trips and author visits to the library, and the in-person family activities we’ve all come to love, like the Book Fair, Movie Night, Science Day, and Carnaval.

A donation in any amount would bring us closer to our goal of raising $10,000+. Can we count on you? Please consider making a tax-deductible donation at: www.gofundme.com/fokoruns2024. Your gift enables us to build sustainable funding to support teachers and students all year long.

Thank you in advance for helping us reach our goal. Our 2024 FOKORuns teams will be powered by your support as we train and run for our community!

FOKORuns Background

In 2016, a group of King Open parents partnered with Friends of King Open (FOKO) and launched FOKOruns, our biggest annual fundraising opportunity.

Each May, the FOKOruns team takes part in the Ragnar New England, a full-day 55-mile relay running event.

This is an event that involves year-round planning, so we are always looking for members of the King Open community to help be a part of FOKORuns by running, coordinating, fundraising, and other ways. If you’re interested in helping with this event, please let us know anytime during the year!
